All figures are estimates based on the assumptions above. Revenue reflects gross revenue, while margin reflects the amount retained by the pharmacy. Medication-review program revenue is estimated at $60 per billable review (Ontario MedsCheck rate; program names, rates, and eligibility vary by province); the adjustable percentage represents the net share of travel patients that result in a billable review, after eligibility and capture.
A mature location refers in 1,820 travel patients per year, drawn from 1,200 consultations (1.52 patients per consultation), as recorded in Virtual Travel Clinic operating data, producing $355,000 in gross travel-prescription revenue and $164,000 in retained margin, equivalent to $195.05 gross and $90.11 margin per patient. Net-new patients introduced by VTC are annualized and added to that base, and the annual figures scale with the combined patient count. Lifetime figures are built on the household behind each consultation, at 3 people per household, with prescription spending of approximately $1,000 per person per year and front-store spending (non-prescription retail) set per household. Lifetime figures represent estimated throughput over the customer retention period. They are not annual amounts, do not represent margin, and should not be added to the annual figures. No front-store spending is attributed to patients the pharmacy already serves and refers in; it is applied only to net-new customers introduced by VTC.
