What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that emerged in 2019, resulting in a global pandemic and impacting people worldwide with symptoms ranging from mild to severe. It primarily spreads through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or breathes.
How to Prevent COVID-19?
Prevention of COVID-19 includes proper hand hygiene, avoid touching your face, and respiratory etiquette, such as covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, wearing a face mask that covers your nose and mouth, and physical distancing.
Is COVID-19 Vaccine Necessary?
Vaccination is considered the most effective way to prevent contracting COVID-19. Vaccines have undergone rigorous testing and have been proven to be safe and effective in reducing the risk or severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. It is recommended to follow the vaccination guidelines provided by your local health authorities and consult with healthcare professionals for specific information and advice regarding COVID-19 vaccines in your area.
